▍▏系統排列的運作原理
系統是由相互關聯的個體組合而成的整體，彼此間以某種方式相互影響，因此，系統中的每位成員都參與整體系統的構建過程和所有重要事件。透過成員之間的 「信息場域」(the field)，以人的身體作為信息的接收器與發送器，便能探索整個系統裡的信息影響與變化狀態，人的身體具有本能接受與發送信息的能力，只是在於人的心是否足夠安靜能覺察到。例如我們進入不同的家庭，所感受到的「氛圍」就是一種信息。信息有多種存在方式，不僅限於文字和語言，通常在生活中，頭腦能留意到的信息不到總體所接收到的10%。但是當系統排列中的「代表」經過學習，能讓自己真正安靜下來，回歸中心，願意更專注地去感知信息之時，就能夠喚醒本有的感知能力，而場域內的信息就能透過代表的感受呈現出來。同時，在系統排列場域中，當個案將代表移動到不同的位置，系統內的信息也透過代表所處的位置和關係呈現出來。如此，藉由這樣的原理，我們變能直觀一個人或是一個系統的真實信息場域而在這層面上工作。
※信息場域無所不在，人的潛意識是一種信息場域，而一群人構建的信息場域就是「集體潛意識」，世上萬物也有其個別的信息場域，我們本身就活在一個龐大而豐富的信息場域裡。
